How this reflex test works
This 20-trial reflex test mixes 12 targets with 8 distractors in a randomized order. A correct target click records reaction time. Waiting through a distractor is a correct hold. Missing a target, clicking a distractor, or responding before a cue counts as an error.

Choice reaction time
A strict choice task maps different stimuli to different buttons. It measures response selection as well as detection and movement.
Researchers have reported longer latencies for choice and go/no-go tasks than for simple reaction tasks, but exact values depend on stimulus, response mapping, difficulty, errors, and hardware. Do not compare numbers across unlike protocols as if they shared one scale.
Why false alarms matter
A very fast median can be misleading if it comes with frequent distractor clicks. Response-inhibition research shows a speed–accuracy trade-off: people with more false alarms can also produce faster responses. This score card therefore keeps accuracy and error counts visible beside speed.
Your latest best accuracy and its median are stored locally. Reaction times, accuracy, and error counts are not sent in custom Google Analytics events.
